Cupcakes - FAQs
How do I order a cake?
All of our products are custom made from start to finish. We meet with clients by appointment only. To start the process please email Belinda and include the following information:
- The date of your event
- The occasion (wedding, birthday, christening etc)
- Location and if you will require delivery
- How many people you need to feed and whether you require dessert or coffee serves
(see FAQ’s below for more info)
- Contact phone number for both day and evening
- A basic idea of the style/type of cake you are after.
Can I order my cake via email or phone?
Absolutely, especially if you have a clear idea of what you are after. I am also happy to offer phone appointments and email/fax sketches of cake designs if required.
Do you deliver?
Yes we do. Generally we are happy to deliver cakes and cupcakes within a 3 hour radius. The cost of delivery is influenced predominantly by distance. Gingerbread is happily delivered Australia wide.
What size cake do I need?
Perhaps a better question is ‘what size cake do you want?’ It is worth taking some time to consider the statement you want your cake to make. Consider where your cake is going to be placed in the reception venue. You may also find that you love the look of a bigger cake but really don’t need that much. In this case we often use Styrofoam to act as a ‘fake’ cake. Yes this is frequently done!
Alternatively, you may have a large number of guests but prefer the look of a smaller cake. In these instances we can provide a kitchen cake to feed the number required.
How far before my event should I order my cake?
As a general rule we recommend 6 – 8 weeks minimum for weddings and 2 – 4 weeks minimum for other occasions. In saying that, there are dates in peak periods that can be booked out 6 months in advance so it never hurts to get in early. Bookings are not available more than 12 months in advance.
How do I confirm my order?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order. The balance of payment is then required the week of your event.
What payment methods to you accept?
